Luo Bing, male, Senior Engineer, currently serves as the Chief Geological Exploration Expert of PetroChina Southwest Oil & Gasfield Company, President of the Exploration and Development Research Institute, Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Overseas Technical Support Center, and Editor-in-Chief of Natural Gas Exploration and Development. He has long been engaged in oil and gas geological exploration research in the Sichuan Basin, continuously innovating theories and technologies related to hydrocarbon accumulation that are distinctive to the basin. He has organized and participated in over 20 national and provincial level scientific research projects, and has received awards including the Fourth "Field Youth Geological Contribution Award—Golden Compass Award" from the Chinese Geological Society and the "Outstanding Science and Technology Worker" honor from China National Petroleum Corporation. His related achievements have been awarded 9 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological prizes, such as the Special Prize and First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from China National Petroleum Corporation, the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Chongqing Municipality, and the First Prize from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. He has co-authored 4 monographs, published over 50 papers, with 3 papers selected for inclusion in China’s F5000—Top Articles from Outstanding Scientific and Technological Journals of China. He has also taken the lead in proposing 2 international standards (initiated for voting under ISO/TC193/SC3) and holds 9 domestic invention patents.
